Our Newest Vintages: A Story of Season, Soil & Craft

Every vintage tells a story. Of rain or drought, of cool nights and long summers, of patient vines and thoughtful hands. Our newest releases carry with them the character of their season and the legacy of our vineyard. We’re proud to introduce the latest wines to join the Longview family — wines that are as much about the place as they are about the glass.

2025 Queenie Pinot Grigio

Nash Pears · Talc · White Nectarine · Musk
Bright · Crunchy

Australia’s most awarded Pinot Grigio returns with a vibrant new vintage. Planted for our family matriarch, Tarquina, affectionately known as Queenie, hailing from Friuli in northern Italy, this wine honours tradition while showcasing modern elegance. Multiple slopes and cultivars layer spice, texture, and intrigue, while cool fermentation preserves the purity of fruit.

The 2025 vintage, one of the driest in decades, ripened the crop rapidly, resulting in early harvest and outstanding fruit quality. This wine is crisp, lifted, and brimming with vitality. A true benchmark of the season.

Perfect pairing: Thai Green Curry.

2025 Juno Rosato

Spring Blossom · Raspberry · Star Anise
Savoury · Dry · Mouth-Watering

Our Rosato has been part of the Longview story for over two decades, and the 2025 Juno is as expressive as ever. Crafted primarily from the famed 1-11 clone of Nebbiolo, with a touch of Pinot Nero for aromatic lift, it delivers fine tannins, savoury edge, and striking persistence.

Hand-tended Nebbiolo vines, planted in 1995, undergo careful canopy management to ensure perfect ripeness. Individual blocks are fermented separately, with lees stirring to build depth and complexity. The result? A beautifully dry, textured rosato that’s both playful and refined.

Perfect pairing: Anything with crab.

2024 Jupiter Barbera

Raspberry · Pomegranate · Cranberry · Black Tea · Olive
Plush · Precise · Long

Barbera is a grape of vibrancy, tension, and charm, and the 2024 Jupiter vintage is a stellar example. A near-perfect season gave us a long ripening period, producing exceptional complexity, brightness, and finesse.

Two Piemonte clones (82 and 424), planted in 2010 on ironstone-studded sandy-clay loam, deliver fruit that’s both plush and structured. Traditional fermentation and maturation in large Slavonian oak casks and select puncheons allow this Barbera to express its Italian heritage with Australian clarity.

2023 Macclesfield Syrah

Perfume · Blueberries · Wet Stone · Pepper · Spice
Ethereal · Focussed · Structured

The 2023 vintage gifted us a long, even ripening season, with cool conditions delivering wines of finesse, aromatics, and drive. From southeast-facing block 2, our Syrah showcases perfumed florals, blueberries, and spice layered with minerality and precision.

With 20% whole bunch inclusion, 10–12 days on skins, and careful oak selection (just 10% new French puncheons), this wine balances fruit purity with structural elegance. It’s Syrah of distinction; fine-boned, vibrant, and age-worthy.

2021 The Piece Shiraz

Matchstick · Blackberry · Blood Plum · Black Olive
Dense · Silky

An icon of Longview. Born from The Piece Project, where art and wine collide, this wine carries forward over a decade of artistry and craft. The 2021 vintage is bold yet refined: a dense, layered Shiraz with silky tannins, brooding fruit, and savoury nuance.

Made to endure, The Piece Shiraz is a wine of celebration and cellaring, capable of ageing gracefully for 15 years or more. It remains not only a wine, but also a canvas for creativity, with each vintage label designed by an acclaimed artist.
