The Piece Project
LONGVIEW MAKES HEARTBREAKING DECISION
The extreme weather forecast for the coming Australia Day long weekend has forced Longview’s hand to postpone The Piece Project event planned for Sunday, January 28th.
Longview Vineyard’s, Managing Director, Peter Saturno said “For the safety of our artists, our guests and our staff, for the first time in its eight-year history we have made the unfortunate decision to postpone the event until later in the year.
“Looking ahead, there is the real possibility of extreme fire danger and other heat related risks and as the event is mostly outdoor event, we have made an informed, very tough choice.”
All tickets were sold through Moshtix and will be fully refunded.
BUT, for all those who were all set to see Norman Jay MBE, he will play an exclusive sunset session at The Pontoon on the Riverbank in Elder Park in the city.
Longview’s air-conditioned Tasting Room will be open from 11-5 this Saturday/Sunday for its usual offering of wine tastings and food, with pre-release bottles of ‘The Piece’ Shiraz 2015 be available for purchase as promised.
