The Piece Shiraz 2016
The graffiti pieces that adorn the label are only the very beginning of the story. Longview has created limited, collectible art on the bottle and what’s inside is equally so.
Every vintage, we take great care to isolate select rows of the best Shiraz fruit, then go a step further by hand-picking only perfect bunches based on flavour. The yields are small but the rewards are plentiful resulting in only 200 dozen of the best Shiraz we could make.
Whole bunches in small open fermenters deliver delicacy to the blue and red fruit spectrum; and anise and clove combine to give this wine its spicy decadence. Subtle French oak influence ensures the fruit harvested remains the star of this experience.
Decant if consuming now but will reward those patient enough to cellar 10+ years.

An elegant and complex wine which displays aromas of baking spices, maraschino cherry, anise and coffee coupled with restrained pencil shavings of French oak. The structured palate displays flavours of cherry, red currant, mulberries and fresh acidity. Dusty tannins complement the finish which is dry and clean with tremendous length. Cellar for 15 years or more, with careful decanting when opening.

Full-throttle dark and black fruits, dredged in baking spice, dark chocolate and licorice and definitely no shortage of punchy, clove-laden oak nuance. 2015 The Piece Shiraz
Adelaide Hills Shiraz Trophy, International Wine Challenge 2018 – Ripe, fresh, blackberry fruit. Aromatic and ripe, with firm tannins and powerful flavours. Lovely acidity, freshness and aromatics. Rich, dense, but beautifully balanced. Very good length.
96 Points – Campbell Mattinson, Halliday Wine Companion 2019 – “Powerhouse red. Rich, meaty, perfumed, lashed with oak, dashed with sweet spice. Adelaide Hills shiraz with the lot. Tannin is fine, infused with coffee, and in control. It is red to be reckoned with, and it’s going to mature – quite gloriously- over a long period.

A big, voluminous. almost opulent shiraz, with a sweet fruit core and appealing spicy list on the nose. This has intensity and elegance, and some cool-grown spicy charm, good drive and length. Delicious wine.”
